Since a young age, Danny has been surrounded by music and had become an essential part of his life. He grew up in a musical household residing in Singapore — both his father and sister sang in a church, and his brother played the violin growing up. Danny discovered his voice while exploring christian pop music and mainstream pop in the 2000s era, but truly found his early musical influences in punk rock bands such as Boys Like Girls, Fallout Boy and All Time Low. These bands inspired Danny to pick up the guitar and sparked his desire to release his original music.

Danny attained a diploma in Music & Audio Technology in Singapore Polytechnic. He had snagged a spot in the course through a direct application program meant to spot potential musical talents in Singapore. It was at this juncture where he became the front-man of a local pop-rock band called The Summer Drive and performed at various venues in Singapore such as Hood Bar. They also released an emo-rock ballad titled "Constantine". During the time that the band stayed together, Danny wrote close to 500 songs, picked up the bass guitar and learnt the basics of audio production. Even after disbanding, Danny continued to write demos and branched into mainstream pop production.
MUSIC

2018 - 2023
After becoming the first and only successful applicant in a musical talent program under Singapore Management University, Danny decided that he wanted to be a music artist and producer. He began to work on pop productions for his solo projects, and drew huge inspiration from the biggest pop acts of his generation such as Lany, Justin Bieber and Jeremy Zucker. This greatly impacted his production style which can be heard in his releases in 2020 and 2021 titled "Me & You" and "Next to Me" respectively. Given the unique blend of his early punk-rock influences and his current pop influences, he proved to be a versatile music producer at Anvil Music Productions. He currently owns his own production house called "DLKC MUSIC" and works with both rising artists and corporate clients such as Guardian, Last War, Channel News Asia and Pizza Hut. Some artists he has worked with as a producer include Daniel Sid, Layyi, Supercatkei and Narysal. He has released another self-produced single under his new moniker "DLKC" titled "Almost Lovers" featuring Daniel Sid, and is also working with more rising artists such as Layyi and Supercatkei. Being an ambitious producer, DLKC (or Danny) is determined to eventually work with the biggest international acts and/or clients, and be the go-to producer in Singapore.
